It is particularly suitable for filtering wine, water, infusions, beers, pharmaceutical solutions, and perfumes. It requires no special maintenance other than normal cleaning. Filtration is the final stage of wine production and requires knowledge of some fundamental precautions. A young wine (30 days) is not ready for fine filtration. For best results, the wine should be aged for at least two or three months and brought to room temperature before filtration. During this time, the wine takes shape and allows most of the suspended particles to settle. At this point, use the COLOMBO® FILTER PULCINO® to finish the wine. If you want a superior finish, use the brightening filters. Remember to wait two to four days between filters. If, on the other hand, you wish to filter a young wine (30 days), you should always use a coarse filter first; immediately afterwards you can use a finishing filter. During filtration, the young wine is agitated by the presence of CO2 (carbon dioxide) generated during fermentation; wait a few hours before bottling the wine.

Normal maintenance requires few and simple interventions, just like a regular household appliance. After use, pour clean water to rinse the internal surfaces of the pump. The electric motor requires no maintenance; there are no parts to lubricate. The external parts should be cleaned with a slightly damp sponge and then dried immediately with a cloth.
