Donker's BT42S Tractor Shredder

The Donker's BT42S Tractor Shredder is a simple yet robust and efficient piece of agricultural equipment designed for shredding wood from pruning, land clearing, orchards, olive groves, and vineyards.

It is mounted on the rear of the tractor, via a three-point hitch, and driven by the power take-off (PTO) at 540 rpm, including a shaft with a safety pin that acts as a pivot point in case of blockage or overload.

The shredder has a manual entry hopper with a 51 × 51cm opening in the upper section and 10.2 × 25.4cm in the lower section. Although effective cutting is allowed up to 10cm in diameter, softer woods up to 15cm can be processed, but will hardly be shredded.

The cutting system consists of four rotating blades and a fixed counter-blade, mounted on a flywheel with a 63.5cm diameter and weighing approximately 50kg, equipped with blades that generate strong suction, minimizing the risk of obstruction.

The structure is made of steel with thicknesses of 10mm and 5mm in the load zones, and 2mm in the non-structural components, ensuring high durability. The hopper can be folded and secured with a pin for easy transport. The discharge tube is 152cm high, rotates 360°, and can reach up to 6m, allowing for practical redirection of wood chips for composting, mulch, containers, or trailers.
